Qualifications
Graduated in Accounting and Business Administration from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He took a postgraduate course in Business Intelligence, from PUC Minas, and in Valuation from Fundação Fipecafi, in São Paulo.
He is certified by the Family Business Prosperity Governance Program, by the Dom Cabral Foundation. He participates in the Special Committee for Technical Studies in IFRS, of the Regional Accounting Council of Minas Gerais (CRC-MG).
Experience
Finance executive and independent board member, with more than 20 years of experience in the financial area of national and multinational companies, working in the following processes: business turnaround, auditing, access to the capital market (funding with various structures), financial reporting, budgeting and forecasts, complex accounting (BRGAAP, IFRS and USGAAP), financial models, business combination, accounting and cost systems, taxes, supplies, cash management and compliance (implementation of policies and procedures). Specialist in the infrastructure, services, health and manufacturing industries, with a focus on concessions and mining.
At Grant Thornton Brazil, he is a partner in the Transactions and Valuation practice, having also worked in one of the so-called 'Big Four' companies as a partner in the auditing and public and private offering areas, in addition to having been part of the Capital Markets Group — composed of professionals who know the requirements of the world's main markets, such as Brazil, and are specialized in assisting clients in their capital strategies through public offerings (IPOs) and other securities, as well as in the conversion of financial statements to comply with U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
Between 2018 and 2022, he was a member of the Statutory Audit Committees of the Economic Development Company of Minas Gerais – CODEMIG and the Development Company of Minas Gerais – CODEMGE (acting as coordinator between 2018 and 2021), in addition to participating in the boards of other companies. Between 2004 and 2006, he participated in the Global Development Program (GDP), during which time he lived in the United States and worked as an auditor in charge of work in the North American office in the city of Philadelphia.
