Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences and a MBA in Controllership at University of Sao Paulo – FIPECAFI /USP (State University in São Paulo). He is a Certified Public Accountant in Brazil (CFC), and he is also certified by the CVM (regulatory entity for public companies). He also has extensive experience in IFRS and US GAAP.
Barreto has audited multinational clients for the last 30 years. He has experience in a variety of industries including mining, services, manufacturing, consumer industry, heavy construction, real estate, automotive, agribusiness, chemical and pharmaceutical. He has participated in or led numerous engagements including M&A; auditing of financial statements prepared in accordance with BR-GAAP, US-GAAP and IFRS; internal audit projects; mergers, sales, due diligence projects, joint ventures and start-up processes for local and international privately held businesses, auditing projects in Latin America.
