Graduated in Computer Science from the University Center FIEO (UNIFIEO) and in Accounting from the Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Contábeis, Atuariais e Financeiras (FIPECAFI). Holds the CRC issued by the Conselho Federal de Contabilidade, as well as certifications in COBIT 5, ITIL V3, ISO 22301, and is a member of ISACA (São Paulo Chapter).
With over 12 years of professional experience in advisory engagements in IT risks, IT auditing, and SOC 1, 2, and 3 attestations for service organizations.
Maikon is one of the leaders at Grant Thornton Brazil responsible for SOC assurance projects and for IT audit projects in a US GAAP/PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board) environment. He has led numerous IT audits for companies registered with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission), including FPIs (Foreign Private Issuers), as well as companies registered with the CVM (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários).
Additionally, he has extensive experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM), access review and SoD (Segregation of Duties), IT internal auditing, continuous auditing, data analysis for audit and advisory purposes, compliance with LGPD (General Data Protection Law), third-party management, and IT security assessment, following industry best practices such as COBIT, ITIL, NIST, and ISO 27k.
